ABOUT ELEANOR MAXWELL

Friends describe me as naturally hospitable and I’ve loved cooking my whole life.

I moved to France in 2002 after growing up in Scotland and living in Canada and England. I now live in a charming 16th century French stone house, formerly the village inn.

Welcoming a happy abundance of friends, family and acquaintances from around the world to gather at my table has helped me perfect both my language and culinary skills. As a teacher, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge of French and the tastes and recipes of southwest France and beyond.

I look forward to introducing you to the language, flavours, markets, brocantes, as well as the delicious wines and Armagnac, of the Gers.
